Overview:
You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete an IT systems and networking - Azure Cloud Support Specialist - Level 3 Apprenticeship.
Job type:
Full-time, Permanent.
Salary:
£12,500 per year.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st Line IT Support.
- Monitor Network & Server Infrastructure.
- Provide remote and onsite IT Support where required.
- Respond to system failures in a timely manner.
- Create and maintain procedures for new and existing processes.
- Troubleshooting customer technical faults and driving fault resolution
- Client service management and relationship building.

Other requirements:
- Some onsite maintenance is required so a full driving licence would be beneficial
- A good understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Experience with various brands of routers and networking equipment
- Experience of working with, and troubleshooting, wired and wireless networks with a good understanding of TCP/IP
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, including a confident and polite manner when talking to customers
- Good organisational and troubleshooting skills, including time management, and the ability to multitask and prioritise your own workload
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Rochdale OL16: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Entry requirements:
The entry requirements for this Azure Cloud Support Specialist programme are as follows:
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)

Training:
Start with a 16 month IT apprenticeship, which consists of training in small groups and work based assessment covering: Operating systems, Server administration, Customer support, Networking and Security.

Working week:
- 8 hour shift / 40hrs a week
- Monday to Friday

QA's apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.
To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
