Linux Engineer (Identity Management)

£400-£500 per day

Outside IR35

Remote work available


We have a new opportunity for an experienced Linux Engineer, with a strong background in Identity Management, to work for a large Edinburgh-based client - joining the existing team on their transformation journey.

You will assist the IT Security team across a variety of priority projects. Primarily you will be tasked with integrating security monitoring and response technologies into the Linux estate.


You will have responsibility for managing and improving the Linux Identity Management across the estate as well as maintaining and improving Network Access automation for the Linux estate.


Skills and Experience:


  • Unix
  • RHEL 6/7/8 System administration
  • Security monitoring
  • Solaris administration
  • Red Hat Satellite administration
  • Unix
Automation

  • Python
  • Jenkins
  • Shell Scripting, specifically Bash and Perl
  • Active Directory
  • Networking skills
  • Ansible, including Ansible Tower deployment and administration
  • Load Balancer technologies
  • Familiarity with Agile working practices
  • Effective team working and technical decision making
  • Designing and leading infrastructure projects
  • Mentoring junior members of the team
