AMN2 - £43,706 - £48,251 per annum

Institute of Genetics and Cancer, Edinburgh Cancer Research Centre

Full time contract: 35 hours per week

Fixed term contract: 2 years


We are looking for an enthusiastic research fellow to join us as a Clinical Research Fellow to contribute to the running of a multicentre dietary intervention trial in adult patients with Crohn's disease (BIOPIC study).

There will also be the opportunity to participate in other research studies within the established clinical research team.


The Opportunity:


The role will allow the development of research skills and production of data leading to a higher research degree (MD).

You will be part of the wider IBD Clinical Research network in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee.


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Plan, design and implement projects or parts of projects, in conjunction with relevant investigators and collaborators leading to a higher degree [MD].
  • Manage data handling and interpretation of research results and take the lead in writing papers for publication in appropriate peerreviewed journals.
  • Present work at internal and external seminars and national/ international conferences.
  • Accumulate a significant body of data of the standard required for submission for examination for a Higher Degree (MD).
  • Manage research according to Good Clinical Practice for Research standards
