Band 7 Community Macmillan Specialist Dietitian 32 hours per week -to be worked over 4 or 5 days per week.

An exciting opportunity has now arisen within the Manchester Macmillan Palliative Support Service teams, based within North Manchester, for a Band 7 Community Macmillan Specialist Dietician


The post holder will work as part of the Macmillan Specialist multi-disciplinary team comprising of Medics, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Nurses and Family Support Worker and the Community Nutrition Service to support this Palliative Caseload.


The post holder will provide supportive palliative care to patients with a dietetic need who require palliation of symptoms to enhance their quality of life and support rehabilitation goals.

The post holder will assess, support and deliver care in the patients home supporting the wider Multidisciplinary team, patients their families and carers.

To work as part of the specialist Macmillan multi-professional team.

Provide clinical leadership for Dietetic cancer and palliative care.

Manage own specialist dietetic caseload.


Provides specialist nutritional and dietetic advice to medical staff, health care professionals and other agencies for Manchester University Foundation Trust.

To undertake audit and research.
