Description

The Breast radiology Team at NMGH has a vacancy for a full time Mammographer to join their friendly and busy breast multi-professional team.

We offer a state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment service.

Our department is committed to Radiographer role extension and CPD.

We have a Consultant Radiographer, Clinical Specialists and Advanced Practitioners undertaking Ultrasound guided examination and intervention, stereotactic interventional procedures and film-reading, and Mammography Associates performing symptomatic mammography.

nchester BSP covers a wide geographical area, It is essential you are willing to travel to all screening sites.


A flexible approach to work will be required as weekend and evening sessions are often scheduled to meet the demands of the expanding symptomatic workload.

You must have HCPC registration as a Radiographer. A Postgraduate Award in Mammography is also required.

The post holder will assist in the provision and delivery of follow-up and symptomatic mammography. Further requirements include assisting in stereo-tactic interventional.

As a qualified mammographer supervision and training of students, trainee Mammographers and Assistant Practitioners is a requirement.

A mammographer is expected to produce high quality images in a safe and caring manner. It necessitates working within a multidisciplinary team to provide the highest standards of patient care.
