Health & Safety Consultant (EHS3 / EHSS)

We are seeking an experienced EHSS (Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability) Expert with a background in distribution or general supply chain logistics.

As the EHS expert, your primary objective will be to ensure the safety and well-being of our employees through effective EHS leadership, support, compliance auditing, and the delivery of essential training.

You will serve as the go-to person for Health and Safety best practices, escalations, and day-to-day coordination for multiple departments on-site.

The role offers Monday-Friday core hours.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement EHS policies in accordance with organizational standards and local regulations in Belgium.

Coordinate the induction and training process for Seveso III regulations, ensuring compliance and effective knowledge transfer.

Provide technical expertise in Process Safety to support safe operations and adherence to relevant standards.

Introduce and monitor EHS processes and documentation specific to the distribution and logistics departments.

Conduct EHS3 audits based on a developed program, ensuring compliance and identifying areas for improvement.

Support and coordinate incident and observational safety investigations using root cause analysis techniques.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the EHS3 function, ensuring accessibility and compliance with record-keeping requirements.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent educational background.

Previous experience in the distribution or logistics industry, with a focus on EHS3.

Knowledge and experience in Process Safety, Atex, and internal auditing (ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 preferred).

Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

Flexibility to travel to other site locations and internationally, as required.
