    Description

    We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Repair Gas Engineer to join our reputable company based in the Stockport area. As a Repair Gas Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and functionality of gas appliances and systems while providing exceptional customer service.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct repairs, maintenance, and servicing of gas appliances and systems in residential settings.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with gas appliances, identifying the root cause and implementing effective solutions.
    • Perform safety checks, inspections, and tests to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
    • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer queries, explaining repair procedures, and offering advice on gas safety.
    • Accurately record work carried out, materials used, and time spent on each job, maintaining comprehensive service records.
    • Collaborate with team members, including supervisors and other engineers, to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
    • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and company policies at all times.
    • Stay updated on industry advancements, regulations, and best practices through continuous professional development.

    Requirements:

    • Gas Safe registered engineer with relevant qualifications (e.g., ACS, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1).
    • Proven experience in repairing and maintaining gas appliances, including boilers, central heating systems, and gas cookers.
    • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
    • Excellent knowledge of gas safety regulations and industry standards.
    • Outstanding customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
    • Flexibility to travel to various locations within and around the Macclesfield area.
    • Valid driving license.
    • Punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
