SEMH Teaching Assistants to support
primary-aged students in
Ashington, Northumberland. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to make a significant impact on children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.

Role Overview:

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to primary students with various social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
Work closely with teachers to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Assist in implementing personalized learning plans and behavioral strategies to promote student engagement and success.
Act as a positive role model, fostering trust and understanding with students struggling with SEMH needs.

We're Looking for Someone Who:

Has a minimum of 6 weeks' experience in a UK school setting or holds a UK degree relevant to education/psychology.
Demonstrates a deep understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and the welfare of children.
Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
Shows patience, resilience, and dedication to supporting students with SEMH needs.
