2nd Line Support Analyst - Manchester - Hybrid Working

I am currently working with a client based in Manchester who are seeking a 2nd Line Support Analyst to join their existing IT support team.

Your main roles and responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Organise support, troubleshooting, and repair for IT equipment for a business with international reach.
  • Ordering of IT equipment for new hires when necessary
  • Ensures all users benefit from effective technology and efficient Internet access, and continually assesses needs and requirements
  • Administrate the various IT managed SAAS platforms (inc. VOIP) and their reporting functions
  • Coordinates training and orientation for new technology users and helps them become familiar with equipment and networks and security requirements and procedures
  • Monitors online security for users and networks and takes appropriate steps to address security breaches if necessary whilst reporting all security related incidents to the IT manager
  • Maintaining records of all company IT property signed out to employees (ITAM)
  • Assist with reclaiming company property from departing employees (ITAM)
  • Establish and manage relationships with technology and component vendors
  • Develop and maintain emergency plans to address equipment, power, or security failure to ensure preservation of technology and data
  • A thorough understanding of available technology and research to learn about innovative solutions and new releases, keeping up to date with new functions and features of the existing technologies within the business.
Job Requirements;
As a minimum, your previous experience should comprehensively include:

  • Strong IT infrastructure experience, with a finance background preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Exposure to Google workspace is a bonus
