Position Summary:
Responsible for receiving and shipping medical instruments, devices, component parts and miscellaneous items into and from the repair facility by performing the following duties.
Duties:
- Unpacks, identifies, examines, and sorts incoming medical instruments, components and miscellaneous items.
- Compares identifying information of incoming instruments to verify Sales/Purchase Orders, invoices, packing lists and/or other records.
- Ensures the accuracy of shipping documents and verifying receiving instruments with SRN's and other documents.
- Routes medical instruments, component parts and miscellaneous items to proper repair location or final destination.
- Places instruments in protective material and counts contents of all Sales/Purchase Orders prior to packing, checks model and serial number.
- Packs outgoing medical instruments, component parts and miscellaneous items and prepares shipping labels through use of overnight courier services such as FedEx, CSM etc.
Duties - cont'd:
- Performs international shipments when necessary to external repair providers or international customers.
- Maintains an active record of international shipments.
- Provides the necessary clearances for international shipments being delivered to the facility.
- Communicates problems, discrepancies, etc. with supervisors, technicians, and customer service.
- Maintains receiving/shipping area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
- Performs filing, photocopying and collating duties.
