Position Summary:

Responsible for receiving and shipping medical instruments, devices, component parts and miscellaneous items into and from the repair facility by performing the following duties.

Duties:

Unpacks, identifies, examines, and sorts incoming medical instruments, components and miscellaneous items.
Compares identifying information of incoming instruments to verify Sales/Purchase Orders, invoices, packing lists and/or other records.
Ensures the accuracy of shipping documents and verifying receiving instruments with SRN's and other documents.
Routes medical instruments, component parts and miscellaneous items to proper repair location or final destination.
Places instruments in protective material and counts contents of all Sales/Purchase Orders prior to packing, checks model and serial number.
Packs outgoing medical instruments, component parts and miscellaneous items and prepares shipping labels through use of overnight courier services such as FedEx, CSM etc.

Duties - cont'd:

Performs international shipments when necessary to external repair providers or international customers.
Maintains an active record of international shipments.
Provides the necessary clearances for international shipments being delivered to the facility.
Communicates problems, discrepancies, etc. with supervisors, technicians, and customer service.
Maintains receiving/shipping area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
Performs filing, photocopying and collating duties.
