CK Group are recruiting for an Outcomes Research Scientist to join a global pharmaceutical company, based in Uxbridge on a part-time (2 days a week) contract, initially for 6 months.


Hourly Salary:

Rate of Pay £34.00 PAYE £46.47 Umbrella.

Uxbridge. This is the commercial head office for UK & Ireland. It includes Clinical Operation, Health Economics, Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Affairs amongst other functions.

Outcomes Research Scientist Role:


  • Responsible for leading and coordinating all UK & Ireland nonregistration observational data generation activities in the allocated Therapy Area(s) and leverage the UK real world data environment to drive wider business value
  • Provides realworld research (RWR) inputs into local Brand plans, in collaboration with local HEOR, Medical and Market Access teams and understand the knowledge gaps and needs requiring RWR, as identified by the brand teams
  • Provides education, training and support to local Medical and HEOR teams in methods and processes for developing and executing local NIR projects.
  • Manages the technical aspects of noninterventional research (NIR) projects, in collaboration with Medical, HEOR colleagues and the CORDS team and develops study options to respond to Brand needs and prepare NIR study concept sheets with budget estimates.
  • Support or lead preparation of study protocols, CRFs, and statistical analysis plans and interpret study results, devise publication plans and support messaging.

Your Background:


  • Educated ideally to MSc level in Epidemiology or Statistics or a related ield with previous experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with large electronic medical or administrative datasets.
  • Experience with advanced epidemiological methods including multivariable modelling, propensity score matching, and a foundational knowledge of common machine learning approaches.
  • Experience with vendor management and NIR study implementation.
  • Understanding of the evolving UK data landscape and an understanding of NIR research including study designs, data sources, methodological limitations, and statistical methods.
  • Excellent communication skills, with capacity to communicate complex issues to different audiences.
