Job Description:


  • The De Beers Group Strategy Development team is responsible for developing strategy choices and recommending 'where to play' and 'how to win' strategies to the De Beers Executive and CEO, informed by cuttingedge analytics and insights.


The Strategy Analytics Lead will work in close cooperation with the IM Business Partner and Head of Digital Transformation to deliver the appropriate information technology infrastructure and outputs.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Map and organise market data sets, including proprietary historic data sets and current Point of Sales data, in cooperation with IM and suppliers to prepare it for meaningful analyses.
  • Create relevant market analysis. This will include total market size estimations, segmentation, B2B trends and B2C trends.
  • Responsible for employing cutting edge analytical tools to deliver advanced analytics and dashboards.
  • Work with internal and external engineers and data scientists to develop predictive market demand capabilities.
  • Populate and update the relevant areas of the De Beers Insight Portal with relevant dashboards and analyses.
  • Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years experience in advanced analytics for B2C and B2B industries.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel modelling.
  • Proficient with advanced analytical tools, including Power BI and/or other data visualisation tools.
  • Proficiency in Python is desirable.
  • Track record of delivering results in pressurised, complex and demanding environments.
