The Department of Life Sciences is one of the largest in the University attracting large numbers of students on a range of foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
At undergraduate level, we offer degrees in Biomedical Science, Healthcare Science (Physiological Sciences), Human Physiology and Human Biosciences. There are taught postgraduate programmes in Biomedical Science, Clinical Sciences and Human Physiology.The Department resides within the Faculty of Science and Engineering and benefits from spacious, modern and well-equipped teaching and research facilities having benefitted from significant recent and on-going investment.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to this fixed term, 12 month position who is committed to providing an excellent learning experience for our students and contribute to the research ambitions in the Department of Life Sciences.

- have a first and higher degree in a relevant discipline
- Have a strong track record in research within the area of microbiology
