Job Introduction

Our Scottish real estate practice covers every aspect of transactional commercial real estate work, particularly development, investment, landlord/tenant work and telecoms.

The works is all of a high calibre and clients include government bodies (local and central), property management, development companies, telecoms operators, retail tenants and lending institutions.

Main Responsibilities

The role will centre around running site acquisition projects for telecoms operators and assisting on large complex investment and development transactions.

There will also be opportunities to get involved in cross border work and lender work.

A knowledge of Scottish property law and/or experience of working in a commercial real estate environment is essential, any experience in project work, telecoms work and/or rural property work, would be extremely beneficial but is not essential if you have other key attributes.

Qualified Solicitor (ideally 25+ PQE)
A knowledge of Scottish property law and/or experience of working in a real estate environment, particularly any experience in telecoms work and/or rural/complex title work, is advantageous.
Eager to develop themselves professionally and become a proactive participant in our supportive UK wide team. You should be communicative, approachable, hardworking and ready to take the next step in your career.
Good organisational skills with experience in project managing a varied caseload of matters and procedures. This is a client facing role, and you will be encouraged to take ownership of client projects. Able to work to deadlines, prioritise workloads and meet conflicting demands on time in sensitive and/or complex matters.
Excellent attention to detail with an ability to produce work to a high standard and assume responsibility for quality control on your own caseload, including accuracy of drafting work and the employment of effective time management tools.
Records time accurately and appropriately and demonstrates good financial management, including exercising full compliance with protocols on billing and credit control.
