NightShift Production Supervisor
- £25,000-30,000

Slough

Nightshift Production Supervisor required to work for sheet metal manufacturer in the Slough area. This position is well-suited to a hands on person who is looking to grow their Supervisor experience.

Job purpose:

Managing and supervising a team of employees
Communicating company goals, safety practices and deadlines to the team
Motivating team members and assessing performance
Providing help to management, including hiring and training, and keeping management updated on team performance
Communicating concerns and policies among management and team members
Willing to be handson

Main duties:

Plans and delivers the Production Plan as per the shift schedule
The Nightshift Supervisor will check planned vs actual on every process on a daily basis. If any of the processes are found to be exceeding the planned time the data must be brought to the attention of the Day Shift Production Supervisor / Operations Director at the point of concern. (People, Process, Planned Time)
Provides a debrief report for the Day Shift Production Supervisor / Operations Director
Informs the Day Shift Production Supervisor / Operations Director of any tooling requirements or maintenance that is required
Provides encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks
Conduct team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations (Working Smart, Not Hard)
Ensures all employees adhere to H&S Policy and wear appropriate PPE

Criteria:

Hands on approach
Experience working at a supervisory level
Leadership skills
Attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Experience working in the sheet metal industry or similar is preferred.

Working hours:
Monday - Thursday: 18:00 pm to 06:00 am (46 hours per week)

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary to Permanent

Schedule:

12 hour shift
Night shift

Experience:
Supervising experience: 2 years (preferred)
