To provide support on all health, safety and wellbeing elements within Ringway Jacobs and to ensure that RJ meet our legal and certification objectives whilst always striving for excellence and innovation. You will have demonstrable technical competencies, but you will also be a passionate, pragmatic individual who can inspire and positively engage staff at all levels to take responsibility for the safety of themselves and those they work alongside.

We are looking for a business partner that provides expert, strategic advice and leadership, empowering teams to think and identify risk and opportunities at all stages of a project life cycle.

The Role
***-
Develop the health, safety and wellbeing strategy, guiding and coaching senior management teams and operational managers in all aspects of health and safety leadership, performance and business operations including incident investigation, risk management, managing preventative and corrective actions and employee engagement to ensure we become a more self-sufficient, mature organisation
:

Leading a transformational behavioural change project across the business, further increasing a positive health and safety culture:

-
Developing and implement new working methods and initiatives in a standardised manner that could improve Health, Safety and wellbeing across the contracts and the wider business
:

Support the undertaking of companywide compliance and conformance audits and inspections:

-
Develop comprehensive documentation to support the management system and HSEQ Company objectives. Maintaining our certification across contracts and training staff to become self-sufficient:

-
Represent the organisation in liaison with enforcing or external auditing authorities
:

-
Ensure that lines of communication are robust and are available to all staff and managers
:

-
Initiating, preparing and running Health and Safety campaigns in liaison with the Contract Director and Head of HSEQ
:

-
Input to Supply Chain Partners approvals, assessments and monitoring vendor performance
:

-
Establish effective networks with operational teams and other key stakeholders within the business unit to encourage collaborative working
:

-
Lead serious investigations and ensure management of incidents within contract is adhering to legal requirements

About You
***-
Qualified to NEBOSH diploma level:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in the Health & Safety and Wellbeing field
:

Auditor qualifications & experience of ISO 45001 management systems
:

-
Incident Investigator Training course:

-
Experience with external audit agencies and enforcement authorities:

-
Specific health and safety cultural change experience:

-
Experience in innovative business improvement techniques:

-
Fully conversant of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint):

-
Experience in delivering and influencing corporate wellbeing strategy:

-
Experience and delivery of health and safety related training to a high standard:

-
IEMA/Environmental qualifications desirable
