  • We are looking for a Distribution Inbound Shift Leader
  • To join our team in: Boston, Lincolnshire
  • Overview
  • Reporting to the Distribution Shift Manager, you will liaise with the wider business functions to support the delivery of site KPI's.
  • What do you get to do?
  • Ensure all inbound loads arrive in accordance with the booking register.
  • To ensure safe working practices are maintained or improved across all operations.
  • Responsible for allocating resource to ensure that all inbound loads are unloaded in a timely manner.
  • Provide supervision and direction to the ninestrong inbound goods team, assisting with HR processes where necessary.
  • Maintain a healthy and transparent relationship with HR, Procurement, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance teams.
  • Work closely with colleagues from the wider Metsä Wood team to support the delivery of the annual plan and long term strategy.
  • Identify and develop the capability of your team to meet current and future needs and to deliver a programme of continual career development for team members.
  • Be responsible for the delivery of a continuous improvement culture in the team using lean six sigma methodology.
  • Key Involvement in projects ensuring resources are engaged, capable and projects deliver on time in full.
  • Use and teach structured problem solving techniques
  • To be accountable for labour including agency workers.
  • To be accountable for usage of consumables.
