The Post
The College is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated teacher to lead the Music Department. The post is available from
17 April 2023 on a permanent, full-time basis.
Our ideal person will be able to demonstrate a track record of success in delivering the highest standards and achieving outstanding results.
In addition, the post holder will receive additional remission in the first year to work with the curriculum management team to ensure they are fully supported in their new role.
The Department
The Department is housed in specialist facilities in the Holmesdale Music Centre.
The Centre consists of a performance space, recording studio, Mac suite, practise rooms and several soundproof pods for students to work and rehearse in.
The team consists of two other members of teaching staff who work in a collaborative style, contributing to central teaching resources.
Students regularly progress onto university courses for Music, Music Technology, Music Production, Song Writing and Sound Engineering, as well as conservatoires.
The Department currently offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities including choirs and bands and regularly encourages students to perform at College Community Events, Open Evenings and other special occasions.
The Department hosts Winter and Spring Concerts on site and an annual Battle of the Bands gig at the local theatre.

Salary
The salary for this post is up to £45,205 to £48,292 per annum.
