Job Summary
Optimum Patient Care are looking for Health Care Assistants to join our research team.

This will involve direct contact with the participants, assisting the clinical research team with performing assessments, data collection, data entry and participant management.


You will support with the performance of clinical trial related duties and procedures and play an active role in the recruitment of participants.

You will work under the supervision of the Respiratory Physiologist, assisting patients as they attend the clinic and act as the central point of contact between the GP practice, patient and the company.


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Respiratory Physiologist or other Healthcare professional in clinical investigations
  • Patient flow management during clinics
  • Promote effective communication within the multidisciplinary team
  • Contacting patients by telephone
  • Updating patient information into company systems
  • Supporting patients to complete health questionnaires
  • To participate in patient care before during and after the spirometry clinic
  • Prepare the clinic area

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

  • No formal training is required however this role would suit those with a background in a healthcare or research environment
  • Clinical trials experience is desirable, but not essential
  • You will be a strong communicator, able to speak to healthcare professionals and the public, putting patients at ease.
  • Access to a car is essential as you will be required to attend clinics at various locations

CONTRACT AND HOURS
This is a part time role worked on average 2/3 days per week when clinics are scheduled.

Part-time hours: per week


Salary:
£20,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
