J&D Pierce (Contracts) Ltd is Scotland's premier steelwork contractor working on some of UK's most exciting construction projects like Anfield Stadium, the National Innovation Centre, and Queen Street Station, shaping the skyline of the UK.

We are actively seeking Structural Steel Fabrication & Welding Apprentices to join our fabrication team at our Facility in Glengarnock


Responsibilities:


  • Learning and understanding structural steel fabrication and welding.
  • Follow Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Reading and understanding structural drawings.
  • Practicing communication skills relevant to engineering and the construction industry.

Requirements:


Skills:


  • Numeracy skills.
  • Problemsolving.
  • Excellent timekeeping.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to listen and follow instructions.
  • Clean, smart, and presentable.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • A keen interest in fabrication.

4 year long Company Apprenticeship for Fabricators

3 year long Company Apprenticeship for Welders

Salary in line with the Scottish Apprenticeship Rate - updated every April
