Purchse Ledger Clerk/ Admin Assistant - ConstructionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team. The Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all purchases made by the company. This is a clerical role that requires strong administrative and data entry skills.
Responsibilities:
- Process purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies
- Match purchase orders with invoices and resolve any discrepancies
- Code and post invoices into the accounting system
- Reconcile supplier statements with purchase ledger records
- Prepare payment runs and process payments to suppliers
- Assist with monthend closing activities, including accruals and prepayments
- Maintain filing systems for easy retrieval of purchase documents
- Provide support to the finance team as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
- Familiarity with computerized accounting systems
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Strong administrative and clerical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Professional phone etiquette
Salary:
£20,000.00-£26,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday

- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
