Purchse Ledger Clerk/ Admin Assistant - Construction
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team. The Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all purchases made by the company. This is a clerical role that requires strong administrative and data entry skills.


Responsibilities:


  • Process purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies
  • Match purchase orders with invoices and resolve any discrepancies
  • Code and post invoices into the accounting system
  • Reconcile supplier statements with purchase ledger records
  • Prepare payment runs and process payments to suppliers
  • Assist with monthend closing activities, including accruals and prepayments
  • Maintain filing systems for easy retrieval of purchase documents
  • Provide support to the finance team as needed

Experience:


  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
  • Familiarity with computerized accounting systems
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong administrative and clerical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Professional phone etiquette

Salary:
£20,000.00-£26,000.00 per year

  • Monday to Friday

Education:


  • A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:


  • Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)

  • English (preferred)
