Description
Garswood is a faith based care home in Birkdale. We are looking for a full time cook to come on board to join our kitchen team. We have 34 residents with varying needs and dietary requirements.

We are a care home and therefore open all year. This role would include working bank holidays and Christmas/New Year.


Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and cook food according to menu and quality standards
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner
  • Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
  • Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to Head Cook
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Requirements:


  • Experience as a cook in a care home or similar setting would be useful
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Strong understanding of food safety practices
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask

Salary:
£11.56 per hour

Experience:


  • Chef: 1 year (preferred)
