Bar Manager / FOH Manager


Job Purpose:

To work closely with the Bar Manager and Front of House Manager to provide the highest level of food and beverage offering, and customer service to x+why members and guests.

The role:


  • As a Bartender, you will be responsible for delivering a seamless and unforgettable experience to our esteemed guests. This multifaceted role is inspired by the responsibilities of a skilled bartender, attentive waiter, and gracious host, ensuring that our guests receive 5star service from the moment they step through our doors. You will be confident building relationships with members and guest and be a team player that communicates well with colleagues.

You will deliver this by (responsibilities/duties):


  • Prepare and serve a wide range of highquality cocktails, ensuring consistency and excellence in presentation
  • Possess indepth knowledge of cocktail recipes, mixology techniques, and the ability to recommend personalized beverage selections to guests
  • Maintain the venue, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and wellstocked supplies always
  • Provide attentive table service to our guests, offering detailed information about our menu offerings, including food and beverage pairings
  • Take accurate orders and efficiently relay them to the kitchen and bar through POS system, ensuring prompt and precise delivery of guest requests
  • Anticipate and respond to guest needs proactively, creating a comfortable and personalized dining experience
  • Greet guests with a warm and professional demeanour, setting a positive tone for their visit
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, ensuring an optimal flow of guests throughout the venue
  • Engage with guests, building rapport, and addressing any inquiries or special requests
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for hospitality, always putting the guest's needs first and striving to exceed their expectations
  • Create a welcoming and relaxed ambiance, making each guest feel valued and appreciated throughout their stay
  • Handle guest feedback and concerns professionally and promptly, seeking to resolve any issues to their complete satisfaction
  • Washing glassware and utensils as required for smooth service
  • Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to bar supervisor/manager
  • Work collaboratively to deliver the KPI's of the food and beverage department of x+why

Person Specification:


Experience

Essential or Desirable
Previous experience within hospitality FOH member's clubs
Prior experience in a professional bar and dining environment in a similar role
Experience in event catering

Able to work effectively/competently with computerised systems e.g., POS systems
Strong customer care ethic and ability to build relationships at all levels
Strong Beverage knowledge

Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
Has a sense of urgency i.e., able to work in a fast-paced F&B environment
