2x Shift (Earlies/Lates)
gap technical are proud to be representing this Market Leading manufacturing business in their search for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work at their facility based near Leeds

Performance Objectives

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Engineer will be expected to react to any machinery breakdowns, identify the fault and rectify in a timely manner to ensure mínimal downtime of equipment/plant processes.
Ability to analyse and offer improvement to plant and processes, Understand the need to eliminate repeat breakdowns using techniques such as RCA, 5 Why's, FMEA's
Carry out pre planned preventative maintenance to reduce unexpected machinery breakdowns and always ensure maximum availability of equipment.
Involvement in ongoing/future projects, taking a leading role.
Good TPM knowledge alongside 5S, lean manufacturing,
Assist with implementation of new CMMS system alongside Engineering Manager
Ensure work area and engineering workshop are kept to a high housekeeping standard,

Person Specification

Electrical maintenance engineer with relevant professional qualifications.
Experience in wire drawing industry desirable,
Must be capable of working unsupervised and will be expected to fault find and carry out subsequent defect rectification.
Strong knowledge of PLC's, Inverters and drives. Eurotherm, WEG and ABB amongst others.
Must be able to read Electrical Schematics
Must be a good team member, but role will involve some lone working.
Assist with future projects and mods made to old machinery
Training the less experienced members of the team.
Strong TPM knowledge and Root cause analysis skills
Mentoring Apprentice.
