Are you looking for a career in a diverse commercial function in the Aerospace and Defence Sector or looking for a new opportunity?- An exciting opportunity to be part of the Commercial team at Leonardo Electronics & Cyber Division within the Customer Support & Service Solutions (CS3) business area has arisen.

This support covers both Air and Land business area sector programmes and portfolio and across a number of different support type contracting arrangements and customers- Working within the Customer Support and Service Solutions (CS3) UK Line of Business you will be required to support bids and projects with customer engagement and contracts management.

You will work under supervision from your line manager within a multi-disciplined Integrated Project Team (IPT) and with guidance and assistance act as the commercial point of contact for the customer.- Working as a key member within the CS3 Land Sector your project responsibilities will be as directed by the Senior Commercial Manager.

Commercial functional responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Drafting, negotiating and administration of terms and conditions of contract within your delegated (financial) approval limit.
  • Close working with the adjacent Procurement function to ensure appropriate flow down to subcontractors.
  • Support to Non-Disclosure Agreements
  • Managing the internal approval process for customer offers and tenders within your delegated (financial) approval limit.
  • Providing commercial support and administration to projects and/or contracts, including change control management, monitoring performance of its contractual obligations, management of commercial risk and contract closure
  • Review and commentary of UK MoD terms and conditions and linkage to wider business functions.
  • Represents the Commercial function and Leonardo through attendance at customer meetings
  • Support to internal project and life cycle management reviews.
  • Assisting with the generation of proposals for submission to Customers in conjunction with the preparation of internal documentation required to obtain bid approval
  • Ensuring that commercial and business processes and procedures are adhered to and that associated internal approvals are in place in line with delegated authorities.
  • Assignments requiring cross functional collaboration
  • Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers to deliver the value to the company

What you will do:


  • Key Responsibility areas
  • Provide strategic and tactical oversight to a number contracts and bid activities within the CS3 Land including drafting, negotiating and administration of terms and conditions of contract, working with Procurement counterparts to ensure appropriate flow through with subcontractors.

Produce, document and brief [obtaining any necessary approvals] clear and informed commercial strategies to leverage the best possible outcomes for Leonardo UK.-Take the lead in producing clear and concise correspondence, obtaining stakeholder input as and when required.

Drafting and reviewing agreements such as Non-Disclosure Agreements, Software Licensing Agreements and Memorandums of Understanding etc.

Providing commercial leadership and administration to projects and/or contracts, including change control management, monitoring performance of its contractual obligations and management of commercial risk.

Preparing proposals for submission to Customers in conjunction with the preparation of internal documentation required to obtain bid approval.
Ensuring adherence to commercial and business processes.
Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with colleagues and customers to deliver the value to the company.
Work as an integral member of the Integrated Project Management Team.
Managing own workload, highlighting areas of conflict or priority and effectively managing stakeholder and customer expectations.
