Slinger Signaller - Oxford

Due to continued growth within Select Plant Logistics Team we are looking to grow our team of Slinger Signallers on our projects within the Oxford Area.

The slinger plays an essential role in ensuring that materials and equipment are moved safely and efficiently around the construction site.

These roles come with an immediate start and oversee crane movements from loading / unloading.

Working closely with our logistics, lifting and traffic personnel to ensure deliveries and materials are loaded / unloaded in compliance with site and company safety regulations.

We are looking for experienced slinger / signallers to join our growing team working within our world class lifting team which has the UKs largest and most comprehensive range of tower cranes.

Salary / Hourly Rate
We can offer an excellent rate of pay ranging from £ per hour depending on experience.

Ideal Experience
The appointed Slinger/signaller will carry out the following duties:

Be responsible for the stages of the activity.
Attaches and detaches the load to and from the tower crane;
Uses the correct lifting gear in accordance with the lifting plan or procedure;
Visually checks the lifting gear for damage before use;
Initiates and directs the movement of the load by giving the appropriate signals and places the load safely.
On some occasions the Appointed Person may ask the Slinger to act as the Signaller.
Relays signals from the Slinger to the tower crane Operator.
