APPRENTICE Business Support Assistant

The Social Care Pathway team are looking for anApprenticeBusiness Support Assistant to join their busy business support team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the NHS and to develop administrative skills and knowledge in a practical placement whilst working towards gaining a recognised apprenticeship qualification.


The Social Care Pathway, whilst working as part of the Mental Health Directorate provides a comprehensive business support service Social Work staff across our three Hubs in the West, East and North of the Staffordshire locality.

The role of Business Support Assistant will assist in providing comprehensive business support alongside the current business support team.

You will require excellent communication skills and will be required to liaise with the general public, service users and staff dealing with telephone enquiries.


You will learn to undertake general office duties such as filing and telephone duties, whilst gaining valuable experience of the day to day running of business support functions that support the Hubs.


You will be liaising with staff at all levels and will adopt a dedicated approach in providing a high quality service using a sound understanding of confidentiality and the need for speed and accuracy in this role.


You will be trained over the course of your apprenticeship to meet the requirements of the role (see Job Description) whilst undertaking an NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration.

You need to be a motivated individual whom will learn the technical skills needed. Other personal development activities will be available to you throughout the course of your apprenticeship.
