Temporary, Full Time - 12 months
We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Officer within the Health & Safety Team.
We require someone who can delve into the detail within existing systems and processes and produce reports to provide assurance that H&S requirements are met.
You will be assisting the H&S team on fire risk assessments and site visits.
We are a forward thinking, values driven housing association, and this role has flexible working between the Rockingham Street office and home working.
- Salary £26,332 £28,46
- Working hours 37 hours per week (Mon to Fri)
- This post does attract Casual car payments on Mileage
- 50 / 50 working from home / in the office split

More about the role:
- Role is responsible for collating and analysing health and safety data for the purpose of monitoring compliance and performance.
- A passion for analysing, seeking the best way to present data to a wide audience.
- Reviewing fire safety compliance and undertaking fire risk assessments
- Reviewing key elements of H&S including legionella, general risk assessments, electrical safety, contractor safety.
- Maintaining records and statistics on health and safety topics and collating accident and incident data.
- Develop specialist knowledge on fire safety and general H&S.
Who you are:
- A curious mind, researcher, and problem solver
- Great organisational and observational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with attention to detail and accuracy
- Being fully conversant with current H&S regulations and hold a relevant qualification such as a NEBOSH general certificate or similar
- Some experience of monitoring, auditing and reviewing organisational arrangements
- Ability to prepare and deliver reports and work to deadlines
- Keen to learn new and develop existing skills
- Have digital skills (i.e. Microsoft excel, word, outlook etc.). Training will be given on SYHA digital packages used.
