Stores Person Band A

Contract:
Permanent, Full-Time

Hours: 38 hours a week, 5 out of 7 days based on a rota system, including early hours and some weekends

Salary:
£23,777 per annum

Responsible to:
Catering Development Manager

Reports on a day to day basis to: Purchasing, Stores and Stock Manager

Purpose of job:
To receive and store of food, consumables and chemicals in the catering service. Transportation of stock within the department. Maintaining agreed stock levels, ensuring correct storage and rotation in various locations. Assisting with stocktaking, keeping food records, assisting with cleaning of stock room and kitchen.

Duties of the Role

As part of your position as a Stores Person, you will be responsible for the transportation of food and stock within the department and ensuring correct storage and rotation.

You will be working as part of an enthusiastic team. Shifts are based on a rota system with early morning and some weekends included.

Skills and qualifications required

You must have the ability to use Microsoft packages such as outlook, word and excel, have good communication skills, a positive attitude to delivering good customer service.

You will ideally have an understanding of any Health and Safety information and guidance, in order to carry out the safe use of chemicals and equipment as well as previous experience of an e-procurement system, however this is not essential as training will be provided.

It is important that you are able to undertake physical aspects of the post, and have a flexible and positive approach to work, with a professional manner.
