Meallmore are looking for an Accounts and Payroll Assistant to join our ever-growing team at head office in Caulfield House, Inverness.

We are a leading provider of residential care services, currently operating 26 care Homes across Scotland. Our high-quality care is individually tailored to residents' needs, while allowing them to be as independent as they wish.


Your role as a Meallmore Accounts and Payroll Assistant will include:

  • To ensure that care fees are invoiced, and receipts posted accurately.
  • To effectively carry out the credit control function.
  • To reconcile Non-Care Invoices issued by the Homes with monies banked.
  • Import data from time management system to the payroll system in Opera
  • Process new employees, terminations, and transfers
  • Within payroll system process any payments/deductions not exported from time management system e.g., statutory payments, Company Sick Pay etc.
  • Update payroll records by recording notified changes including, but not limited to, HMRC tax code notifications, pay rate changes, wage arrestments
  • Submit RTI information to HMRC using Government Gateway
  • Reconcile hours from time management system to hours paid via Opera
  • Arrange payment of any wage arrestments
  • Deal with adhoc queries from staff in relation to their pay

Qualifications and skills:


  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum one year's experience in an accounts role.
  • Experience of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Be proficient at reconciling a fee account to carry out the credit control function effectively
  • Awareness of HMRC regulations and reporting procedures

Salary
:
Up to £23,095
per annum, dependent on experience + benefits

Hours:
Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
