  • Lilliput Surgery
  • Poole Road Medical Centre
  • Wessex Road Surgery
  • Heatherview Medical Centre

  • Parkstone Tower Practice


Situated in beautiful Dorset with the prestigious Blue Flag beaches of Bournemouth and Sandbanks, the Jurassic coastline and a wealth of attractions and countryside to visit we are lucky to be in such a fantastic area.


We are seeking an experienced Workflow Administrator to provide a high-quality administrative service to the GPs across Shore Medical, at our Poole Road Medical Centre in, Dorset on a permanent, part-time basis.


Job responsibilities:


  • Accurately code diagnoses, procedures and investigations, following the Shore Medical Workflow protocols.
  • Liaise with the Pharmacy team to facilitate timely and accurate medications reconciliation, following agreed protocols.
  • Identify and record key clinical data such as new diagnoses, BP recordings, smoking status, and other items as detailed in the Workflow guide.
  • Identify any actions, such as blood tests to be arranged, and task the relevant group.
  • Identify the complex or highrisk areas that require input or knowledge from the clinical team, including safeguarding issues, working to the agreed protocols.
  • Liaise with clinical staff for complex correspondence.
  • Responding promptly to any queries about letters processed by Workflow.
  • Investigate incidents promptly and identify where changes need to be made to ensure prevention of future incidents.
  • Help develop new ways of processing incoming paperwork and correspondence, including coding.
  • Undertake additional tasks as required by the line manager or GP Partners.


This is not an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities, and the post holder may be required to undertake other duties, which fall within the grade of the job, in discussion with the manager.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


  • Qualifications _
    Minimum GCSE English and Maths or equivalent_
  • Previous experience working in General Practice and with SystmOne.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in reading correspondence and data entry.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Good knowledge of medical terminology and preferably experience of Read coding, although training will be given.
  • Ability to work and communicate well within a team and to provide support to colleagues.
  • Ability to work under pressure with large volumes of correspondence.

Job Type:
FTC, part time


Hours :
Part time 30 hours per week, Monday

  • Wednesday 8am6.30pm and Tuesday
  • Thursday 9am2pm
