Manual Machinist

Hours:

39.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Mon - Thur: 7:30am - 16:45pm

Fri: 7:30am - 12:00pm
(EARLY FINISH)
Permanent Position

Salary:

Up to £12.74 per hour

Holiday Entitlement:

Up to 35 days

(23-27 days incremental) + Statutory Days

Job Role:

An excellent opportunity for an experienced
Manual Machinist / General Operator to become part of our busy team in a traditional engineering workshop.

Must have previous experience in similar roles, however additional on the job training will be provided.

Main Duties Include:

Manual Machining of Stainless Steel (typically 420 Series) and other materials. Using Traditional Milling Machines and Lathes (such as Cincinnati Horizontal Millers, Bridgeport Milling Machines, CNC Bridgeport, CNC Lathes etc).
General machining of surgical instruments, and producing component parts (such as screws, handles etc).
Grinding and glazing using abrasive wheels. Experience would desirable however not essential.
Bench Fitting Skills using hand tools. Experience would desirable however not essential.
Working to Patterns and Drawings issued to tight dimensional tolerances.
