Infrastructure Engineer
Cambridge - Hybrid remote (2 days remote and 3 days office based)
Up to £41k
Key skills
- Windows Server support
- Prior/current experience managing a Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO and Exchange environment
- Experience of managing HP SAN environments
- Extensive knowledge of network infrastructure (Ethernet, VLANs, routing, switching and IP addressing)
- Excellent communication skills and experience effectively communicating with technical and nontechnical audiences
- Experience managing virtualisation technologies (Ideally VMware)
- Any certifications such as MCSE or CCNA and cloud experience such as AWS/Azure or O365 would be a bonus
Role Overview
- Assist with creating and implementing new infrastructure designs to continuously improve performance, availability and security.
- Take the lead on infrastructure projects
- Document the design, operation and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures.
- Provide 2nd /3rd line support to the ServiceDesk for issues that cannot be resolved there.
- Creating Knowledge base documentation for ServiceDesk staff.
- Key point of contact for telecommunication carriers and infrastructure service providers.
- Monitor and respond to security alerts and faults.
- Identify and report overloading, capacity issues or any potential threats to service levels.

Salary:
up to £41k + benefits
