Description

We are seeking a part-time gardener to join a small team on a privately owned 25-acre estate on the Warwickshire/Oxfordshire border.

It is anticipated that you will work two full days per week (16 hours) and ideally, you will have the flexibility to increase to three days to cover holidays of the other team members.

There is flexibility to work fewer daily hours but over more days if that suits.

You will work alongside a Head Gardener and Gardener supporting with the upkeep of the grounds and gardens.

Your duties will primarily be focused on the maintenance of the lawns and grassed areas but from time to time, additional duties may include:

Care of hedges and trees.
Pruning of shrubs and climbers.
Maintain and develop both herbaceous and mixed borders.
Use of all types of garden machinery, including basic maintenance of machines.
Maintenance of established Topiary and Parterre.
Management of walled Vegetable Garden including fruit and cut flowers.
Greenhouse for propagation and plant establishment.
Seasonal pots and hanging basket establishment.
Woodland walks and lake maintenance.
Assisting with other estate tasks as required.

You will be a great team player, hardworking individual and you will work well with others.

You will be confident in the use of garden machinery and have a good working knowledge of health and safety.

A full driving licence and your own transport are essential for this role as the estate is located rurally.

Up to £12.00 per hour
