Support Administrator - TOTEX Cluster Team

Starting Salary £24,745.00

Up to 5% bonus

Permanent 40 hours a week

Location in our depot at Elland
Northern Gas Networks have an exciting opportunity for a
Support Administrator at our depot in Elland.

You will be able to utilise all of your skills as an administrator to work within our depot by offering key support to the TOTEX Cluster team.

You will facilitate all planning requirements for job creation, noticing and project closure in relation to our gas sites. This role will see you delivering a first-class service working with internal and external stakeholders, so communication skills are essential


Your Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities will include

  • Inputting new starters, holidays, rotas, sickness, Occupational Health referrals, time in lieu into NGN&Me, WSM and Excel to ensure accurate and correct staffing levels in the field, driving performance in Safety, Customer and Finance
  • Responsibility for validating third party damage submissions and passing them on to the finance team to be invoiced in a timely and accurate manner
  • Raising projects in our SAP system based on project designs for noticing and commercial requirements
  • Raising, updating and reporting of NRSWA notifications to Highway Authority (or private road owners) within required timescales within SAP / Insight
  • Liaising with Planners to ensure all customer notification letters are issued for all works
  • Having daily discussions with Site Managers to monitor progress of works, update and circulate the daily whereabouts report
  • Producing project files for Site Managers and teams (electronic & paper copies)
  • Monitoring the validity of the project safe dig prints and refresh as required and capturing this data
  • Issuing NRSWA registration details into SAP following project closure

What we are looking for

  • You will have a strong administration background in a busy office environment so excellent communication skills both verbal & written are a necessity
  • You will have good knowledge of IT which will include Microsoft Excel and Word
  • The ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work to deadlines is paramount as is your attention to detail and your focus on quality
  • You will be a team player with a 'can do' attitude but able to work on your own initiative as well
  • It would be beneficial if you had experience of working in a utilities environment, as would knowledge of SAP and or Insight, and gas or NRSWA legislation, however, these are not essential as these are areas that we would develop and train you in
