Working for a student accommodation provider on one of their schemes in Bradford, you'll take on the role of the Accommodation Manager.


The company focuses on providing their students with more than just; their accommodation, providing the safety, security and social aspect of University life.


The role of the Accommodation Manager is to run the accommodation with the highest safety in mind whilst, ensuring a first-class residential and customer experience.


Main Responsibilities:


  • To take the lead role in the management of the residence, ensuring the property is managed effectively
  • To ensure the facility is maintained to the highest standards and operated in full compliance with all appropriate legislation and industry standards
  • To liaise with and work collaboratively with colleagues in the college
  • Ensure that all statutory requirements in terms of Health and Safety are implemented, monitored and recorded
  • To lead the sales process to ensure that the building achieves 100% occupancy each year
  • Respond to emergencies both during and out of working hours
  • Manage day to day relationships with key external stakeholders
  • To recruit, train, manage, motivate and develop staff, student residence assistants and contractors
  • Ensure the highest possible standards of student safety and welfare
  • To promote a vibrant community across the facility

Other Duties:


  • Manage the letting of rooms in accordance with protocols
  • Manage checkin and check out procedures
  • Take a lead role in producing and implementing a social activities programme
  • To oversee all Residence maintenance and housekeeping (reactive, planned and cyclical) to ensure sector leading service levels
  • Ensure regular inspections of bedrooms, and common spaces are undertaken, and records maintained
  • Manage rent payments and debt
  • Ensure guarantor details are recorded
  • Ensure tenancy/licence agreements are fully executed and stored in accordance with policy
  • To develop and maintain information/ imagery which may be required for the production of marketing materials and campaigns (printed, online and social media)
  • To oversee and drive the residences' social media presence
  • Marketing of the property to direct let customers
  • Marketing to existing customers to maximise repeat business
  • When necessary, lead inward visits from agents/ partners/ parents
  • Ensure all necessary documentation required to satisfy 'right to rent' legislation is checked, recorded and stored in line with policy
  • Ensure all staff (directly employed and contractors) have the appropriate DBS clearance before starting work within the residence

  • Experience in working to agreed budgets
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
