Inventory Control Manager - Tooling Materials Management
Sprint Engineering & Lubricants Ltd are a leading MRO supplier and related service provider to industry within the UK.

We have over 34 years of experience serving our clients, with an amazing dedicated team of people our business continues to grow and support our customers.


We are seeking a flexible, self-motivated, committed person who has a talent for methodical, organised thinking with the practical experience and can-do attitude to see a task through from early stage to managing a project after completion.

This is a unique position that requires creating an inventory for heavy engineering tooling within a database such as Microsoft excel.

Locating of special tooling using forklifts and overhead cranes detailing progress at each stage.

Safely storing and recording each move and ensuring all equipment is fit for purpose, certificated and available when the customer requires.


There are currently two sites Rochester and Hertfordshire which need to be aligned to one another and managed by working between both sites.

Once the initial stage of the project is complete, the ongoing requirement is to be available for a wider team to assist with all non-stock inventory.

This role will suit someone who is willing to travel between several customers sites.

Is physically fit with an understanding of heavy industry, with an excellent mind for organisation, and a passion to deliver a first-class service to a customer even under challenging circumstances.

A vehicle/expenses will be provided to travel between sites during the working day. Flexible working when on-site access not required.


You will be joining an existing team who already support the sites and have a pivotal role in the current contract, with you as an extension to this as the new member of the team.

You will have direction and guidance from the Contracts Manager with the added support of the existing team.

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and word
  • Project Management Experience
  • Work well under pressure
  • Accountability
  • Current forklift licence
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel.
  • Experience of inventory and materials management
  • Excellent working knowledge of inventory control software
  • Clean driving licence.

Salary:
£28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Hertfordshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location:
Hybrid remote in Kent
