Overview

Are you a meticulous SEO expert, passionate about driving website performance through technical excellence? We're seeking skilled Freelance Technical SEO Specialists to join our digital marketing team at Sleeping Giant Media on a project basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our SEO Pod in conducting technical audits, shaping SEO strategies and optimising clients websites; aiming to increase organic rankings and deliver measurable results.

About The Role

The Role:

Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits to define SEO strategies and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with the team to ensure SEO best practices are properly followed.
Optimise website architecture, URL structures, and internal navigation for superior indexing and crawling.
Monitor, track, and report on search metrics, including trend analysis.
Regularly crawl and audit sites, and document issues with actions to fix
Reviewing and analysing technical and onpage SEO issues and execute fixes.
Conduct keyword research and make recommendations for content and on page optimisation.

The Person:

A passion & aptitude for Digital Marketing.
Deep understanding of technical SEO skills, including structured data, site speed optimisation, and mobile SEO.
Experience with website analysis using a variety of analytics and SEO tools including Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs,, Moz and Google Search Console.
Google Analytics certified.
Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, with a knack for explaining complex concepts clearly and effectively.
Ability to handle multiple projects and dynamic priorities without missing a beat.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
A team player

Requirements:

2+ years of handson experience in a technical SEOfocused role.
Proven track record in implementing successful SEO strategies.
An understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
An understanding of CMS platforms, such as Magento, Shopify, WordPress.
Excellent analytical, organisational, project management, and time management skills.
Freelance, independent contractor status with the ability to work remotely.
