Experience Required:


Experience in Credit Control / Debt Collection in a client facing role would be preferable and ideally in an environment where soft skills must be used persuasively to achieve the end result.

Demonstrable track record of achievement would be required.


Key Purpose of the Role:


To proactively maintain and reduce 30-, 60- and 90-Day Debt, manage all patient insurance submissions and claims and to manage day to day invoicing for the practice.

You will be required to analyse and identify the root cause of debt, passionately and proactively improving debt management throughout.

To achieve KPIs and productivity standards with pride as directed by the Practice, regularly reporting on progress.

Working within the culture, ethos, and philosophy of 608 Vets, maintaining excellent client relationships and a good debt management experience for clients, colleagues, and the Practice.


Technical skills and Qualifications Required:
Educated to GCSE or equivalent Grade C in Maths and English

Strong excel skills - able to extract, manipulate and represent data easily and accurately

Competent in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

Excellent standards of data entry and data management accuracy and consistency

Specific Duties / Responsibilities of the role:

  • Reduce and proactively maintain debt values and volumes on 30,60
  • and 90-day debt, to achieve KPIs in line with Practice requirements on debt management
  • Maintain accurate and efficient records at all times on debt position across, 30, 60 and 90day debt
  • Reduce errors in process adherence internally by continually quality checking debt process, delivering training to colleagues where appropriate, needed or requested
  • To achieve KPIs in line with Practice requirements on debt management
  • Arrange and monitor staff, charity accounts and payment plans
  • Resolve, escalate and monitor any queries in a timely manner
  • Complete and submit insurance claims record progress and maintain contact with insurance companies regarding payment
  • Allocate insurance and client settlements via payment processes including cash, card, BACS
  • Liaising with outside debt management finance services
  • Daily invoicing on the PMS to ensure efficient and regular payment by clients
  • Suggest ideas for continuous improvement in a constructive, professional manner
  • Carry out any additional duties as requested by Line Manager
