Electrical Estimating Technician

Hawk 3 talent solutions are working closely with a UK Manufacturer who are recruiting for an Electrical Technician based in Bradford.

Job title:
Electrical Estimating Technician

Location:
Bradford

Salary:
£40,000 -£ dependant on experience)

Job Role:

Read client specifications and produce quotations for pre wired electrical cabinets. These could be for a range of specifications such as street lighting, electrical distribution and EV charging.


Analyse initial requirements, read drawings and wiring diagrams, price the project getting cost from component and switchgear suppliers, produce quotations for the electrical enclosures, and subsequently be involved in building the electrical panels.

Will involve the successful applicant designing, building and testing wired cabinets to the client provided specification.


The Successful Applicant

  • Electrically qualified and competent technically strong
  • Able to produce wiring drawings (software drawing package training can be given) and quotations with good commercial awareness and ability to liaise directly and professionally at all levels
  • Good interpersonal and telephone skills are essential as the successful applicant will be required to deliver accurate detailed costings, maintain customer records, liaise with the clients in a professional manner, have good commercial awareness and deliverclient projects to a high standard, on time and in budget

Qualifications and Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification
  • C&G 2382 Requirements for Electrical Installations
  • C&G Level 3 Inspection and Testing
  • Excel

Desirable

  • Level 4 Award Design and verification of Electrical Systems
