Description

This role is within a unit where Surrey Police and Sussex Police work in collaboration, whilst remaining two separate legal entities/employers with different terms and conditions.


Both Surrey Police staff and Sussex Police staff are employed in this unit on their own force terms and conditions.

Working Hours Hours per Week

Salary Grade Range - Surrey Police £30,486 - £36,026 / Sussex Police £30,375 - £33,348

The Role & Key Responsibilities

From your first day with us you will be part of a policing family making a real difference.

It is our mission to identify and protect vulnerable people, prevent and respond to harm and keep people safe.


In this role you will work closely with the project team leads and be responsible for highlighting any identified risks and issues and recommending appropriate responses and solutions in relation to the new Data Communications Software, that has been adopted by both Surrey and Sussex Police.


You will be required to regularly communicate with Police Officers, and staff, across the organisation, including IT, People Services, Finance and Corporate Communications in the continued delivery of this project.


The role will also required you to gather relevant project information, populate plans and status reports along with other tasks as identified by the project lead.

Skills & Experience

Qualifications,

A' Level qualification or equivalent PIP2 qualified in Investigations

You must be able to evidence the following skills and experience,

Demonstrable investigative knowledge of criminal investigations.

Attention to detail, with the ability to pull together meaningful products that will support the decision-making process.

Proven and well evidenced use of interpersonal skills, with strong ownership ethic. Proven ability to establish rapport and maintain effective working relationships with multiple internal stakeholders and external contacts

Proven verbal, written and communication skills and the ability to tailor these depending on the audience.


Proven ability to manage multiple activities and work on own initiative to prioritise and respond flexibly to rapidly changing demands when under pressure.

Proven and well evidenced experience of analytical thinking.

Ability to critically analyse information and use own initiative to solve problems, making reasoned and responsible decisions that consider all the relevant factors, spot opportunities and develop creative solutions.

Experience of using communications data from Communications Service Providers and from mobile telephones within investigations.

An understanding of project management
