Plumbing & Heating Supervisor

Nationwide


We Build Recruitment are looking for an experienced Plumbing & Heating Engineer, ideally from a supervisory background, although an aspiring Working Foreman will be considered.

Commercial experience within the leisure and hotel accommodation areas would be advantageous. Being a hands-on working foreman will involve travel to a variety of sites as and when required.

Ensuring the Engineers are operating to a high standard on eachof their jobs and assisting with works throughout the working day.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Schedule and assign work to subordinates, taking into account factors such as job descriptions, skills, experience, and training
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure that it meets specifications and is being performed safely and correctly
  • Investigate complaints about plumbing systems and take corrective action or recommend solutions
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet plumbing schedules, using knowledge of capabilities of staff and equipment
  • Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies needed to complete assigned tasks
  • Prepare reports on the status of projects and budget expenditures
  • Recommend measures to improve productivity and suggest ways to reduce costs
  • Train new employees in the proper use of tools and equipment and in safety procedures
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network, and waste disposal system
  • Plan and lay out work to be done, following instructions from supervisor
  • Perform journeylevel work of the trade
