Purchasing Assistant required for a busy pharmaceutical and medical supply company in West Bromwich.An exciting position for someone looking to get in to procurement.
Purchasing experience is desired but not required as full training from the ground up will be provided. Previous office experience within a busy office environment is required.
- Organisational skills, ability to prioritise, make decisions, and work effectively in a fastpaced environment.
- IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Chrome, and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Effective communication with key stakeholders and other internal departments.
- Highly motivated with a proactive approach to individual learning and development.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
The role includes (but not limited to):
- To raise and place purchase orders with suppliers
- Monitor and maintain stock levels
- To review order acknowledgments
- Progression of overdue purchase orders
- Explore cost savings
- To assist sales with enquiries
- Sourcing new products
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
£10.82 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
