We have a great opportunity to join our Education team as a Information Advice & Guidance Advisor - for Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Onley, offered on a permanent, full-time basis working 40 hrs per week. What the role entails


As an Information Advice & Guidance Advisor you will work with service users on a one-to-one basis to develop skills related to resettlement such as employability and job seeking skills.

Liaise with relevant Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) teams, agencies and stakeholders in custody and community and share relevant information in line with data protection to contribute to a consistent and continuous learning journey in custody and in the community.


What we need from you
In order to be successful in the role of Information Advice & Guidance Advisor, you will need:

  • To hold at least a Level 3 qualification in Advice and Guidance
  • Willing to work towards Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) level 4 qualification
  • Track record of working effectively with clients who present with challenging behaviour
  • Experience of contributing to an IAG service that meets quality standards
  • Must have experience of working in an IAG role
