Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join as a team member for one of the employers we work with as a Business Administration Apprentice.
As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop essential skills in business administration while working alongside experienced professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Check in Patients
- Greet Patients
- Register Patients information in account using computer
- Scan paperwork using desk scanner
- Take payment and post into account using computer
- Introduce patients to ophthalmologists
- Assist patients requests and needs during arrival and wait time in lobby
- Take phone calls as needed from other departments or appt calls
Check Out Patients-
- Take payment and post into account using computer
- Print patient's receipt and give to patients
- Make patients return/recall appt using computer
- Assist patients requests and needs after appt
- Communicate with back tech department for verification as needed
Closing-
- Balance cash drawer at end of day
- Lock up closing deposit/cash drawer in safe
- Lock doors
- Turn off lights
Regular duties:
- Take phone calls as needed from other departments or appt Appointments
- Take phone calls from patients and make appointments appropriately using computer and following protocols
- Register patient information in account over phone using computer and following protocols
- Take phone calls as needed from other departments
Qualifications:
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Proficient in using office computer software, including QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Detailoriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong typing skills for efficient data entry

This is a paid apprenticeship position. We value your time and commitment, and we believe in compensating our apprentices fairly for their contributions.
