DIO is seeking an experienced Strategic & Change Communications lead.
The post holder will be responsible for planning and delivering change communications and ensuring that DIO's communications have the impact needed, via effective strategic communications planning.

Person specification:
Main responsibilities will include:
- Lead on coordination of communications activities across communication functions, in collaboration with corporate communications colleagues.
- Act as a senior advisor on all elements of strategic communication as required; from audience insight and objective setting to strategy development, measurement and evaluation.
- Planning and delivery lead for change communications in collaboration with other corporate communications colleagues.
- Support the delivery and annual refresh of the communications strategy and business plan.
- Line manage Strategic Communications Officer.
Desirable Experience & Skills
- You will need to be comfortable working in an environment that can be fastpaced and ambiguous, while independently leading areas of work and ensuring they are delivered to the highest quality.
- You will need strong communication and negotiating skills and the ability to build effective relationships at all levels, including with senior officials.
- You must be able to understand complex information quickly and simplify and contextualise it, making informed challenges and decisions where necessary.
- 5+ years' experience of change communications is desirable and experience of supporting collaboration across a multifunctional communications team would be an advantage.
- Experience of research into audiences is also desirable for this post.
Travel Requirements
Regular travel within the UK will be required and occasional travel overseas may be required.
