What is Culture Fusion?
Culture Fusion is an exciting new initiative unique to Bradford College.
Delivered in a centre dedicated to the needs of young people with various barriers to learning it seeks to build the confidence of these young people through the delivery of a dynamic and exciting curriculum.
Our
_New Directions_ and
_Next Steps_ Learning courses gives students the opportunity to learn a variety of new skills, build their confidence and develop their English and maths skills at a pace appropriate to their needs.
They will be able to participate in taster sessions for potential careers, as well as developing important personal and social skills.
It's an accredited course so students receive valuable real-world qualifications.Responsibilities include:
- To teach on courses specified by the Head of Department/Team Leader.
- To participate actively in the development of curriculum; and where appropriate in cross College marketing activities.
- To participate actively in the enrolment, induction, monitoring, profiling and initial assessment of students or trainees.
- To devise individual learning plans and provide support for learners in line with the requirements of the course.
- To be responsible to the Head of Department/Team Leader for student discipline, counselling and guidance relating to all assigned classes.
- To be responsible for the supervision and management of students on placements and offsite visits and activities where appropriate.
- To act as academic and pastoral tutor to assigned students.

Education & Training
- Degree or Equivalent qualification
- A relevant teaching qualification or working towards this qualification.
- GCSE 49 (A
- C) or nationally recognised level 2 qualification in Maths or equivalent. (e.g. CSE 1, O Level A
- C)
- GCSE (A
- C)
- C)
Experience
- Academic or industrial or commercial experience in an area relevant to the programmes.
- Experience of interactive whiteboards and Moodle.
- Experience of delivering FE including assessment with AQA, Ascentis and other awarding organisations
