Job description:

As a Researcher within our Intelligence Directorate, you will:

  • Work in partnership with Intelligence Analysts, Officers, and colleagues from across our organisation, sharing intelligence and information in line with relevant standards.
  • Evaluate, assess and record information from multiple internal and external sources and conduct research.
  • Accurately maintain management activity systems and operational records in accordance with legislation and guidance.
  • Input data and maintain record management systems, ensuring there is an effective record management and audit trail.
  • Verify and crossreference how valid information is, to identify and communicate links between different pieces of information.
  • Undertake system checks to support our Intelligence Analysts and colleagues across the organisation.

Person specification:


We're looking for Researchers who have:

  • Great communication skills
  • to communicate confidently with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • The ability to consider the bigger picture and understand the importance and impact of information gathered
  • The ability to learn, and show enthusiasm for, new skills
  • Some knowledge of combatting economic crime, including working with law enforcement partners
  • Great skills at working as part of a team, as well as working independently

And who have experience of:
