Payrate-£20.24 UMB p/h


Job Purpose:


Join our team as a Housing Officer and play a vital role in providing efficient, effective, and responsive housing management services within a designated work area, ensuring services align with the councils policies and priorities.


Key Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive housing management services, including tenancy management, ASB management, estate management, and tenant support.
Manage cases, identify factors, and develop appropriate actions in line with council priorities.
Keep updated on relevant legislation and contribute to overall Directorate performance.
Establish and maintain effective communication within the housing team, council, and external agencies.
Attend meetings and undertake relevant actions and visits as required.
Assist tenants, leaseholders, and residents with general advice and assistance.
Respond to ASB and tenancy issues, developing appropriate solutions.
Assist in identifying tenancy support needs and make relevant referrals.
Conduct routine tenancy visits and estate monitoring.
Assist with rent arrears recovery and income maximization.
Maintain awareness of fire and health & safety regulations.
Provide specialist housing support services to vulnerable tenants.
Interpret legislation and take appropriate action in cases of breaches.
Investigate complaints and incidents and develop solutions.
Produce relevant statements, reports, and legal notices.
Participate in court proceedings and attend meetings and hearings.
Meet corporate performance measures and targets.
Provide cover and assist with staff training.
Participate in Residents Association activities and community events.
Maintain records and manage workload efficiently.
Utilize computer programs and equipment for service provision.
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection policies.
Liaise with council officers and external agencies.
Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and partners.
