Associate Director Building Control


Responsibilities:


  • Deputise for Director, assisting in the day to day operation of building control.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve department goals and objectives
  • Lead and supervise a team of employees, providing guidance and support
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective workflow
  • Monitor and evaluate department performance, making necessary adjustments as needed
  • Contribute to tender bids and fee quotes, as required
  • Authorised signatory
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management on department activities and progress
  • Technical Audits as part of Audit programme
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and improvement

  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners

1. Professionally qualified - minimum Member of RICS, CABE or equivalent.

2. Minimum of 10 years practical experience

3. Comprehensive knowledge of legislation, guidance and standards relevant to building control
A proven track record within the commercial environment.


Salary:
£60,000.00-£100,000.00 per year
